New York forward Mike Magee was given an additional one game suspension by MLS for punching Columbus's Kei Kamara in their game last weekend. He already sat out the one game due to the red card, but now will also miss the match in DC this Saturday.

After reading both 3rd Degree and the Dallas Morning News it seems pretty clear that Shaka Hislop will start in goal for FC Dallas this weekend.

I am not sure what this is all about, but for the third week in a row Landon Donovan has done an interview talking about his tough World Cup experience, however, in this one he does not talk about his chances of every playing for a European club again. By Michael Lewis of Big Apple Soccer.

Peter Wilt was on Big Soccer again yesterday saying that things in Milwaukee are still positive and moving forward for a potential MLS expansion team in the near future. It's not moving at the speed he would like, but at least still moving. Good to hear.

Fulham v Chelsea - yet another London derby - at this point we could have one almost every week.
Barcelona v Valencia
Hamburg v Werder Bremen - both need to win really really bad.
Celtic v Rangers - the classic Old Firm match up.
Lyon v Lille - Lille beat the 5-times-running French champs both times they met last season.

The 32 teams who participated in last seasons Champions League split over 436 million euros between them. Unreal. The breakdown was factored on how far you got in the competition and the size of your television audience, i.e. English and German teams got bigger TV cuts. In the end Arsenal got the most with 35.05 million & winner Barcelona got 31.65 million.

My pick for the next great Brazilain player - Anderson - make a note that you read it here first (well not first, but you know...) - he currently plays for Porto in Portugal, and will be signing for Barcelona.
