More MLS v Internationals last night:
DC United 1-1 Real Madrid - In Seattle of all places. Antonio Cassano scored first for Real in the 22nd minute, but DC struck back 2 minutes later with Alecko Eskandarian scoring after 5 great passes in a row by his teammates. Ciccinho also played fantastic for RM in the second half. I really thought he should have seen a lot more of the field at the World Cup for Brazil. Match report by Steven Goff of the Washington Post.

3 Regular Season MLS matches tonight:
Houston 0-1 Los Angeles - The opening game in Houston saw Santino Quaranta step off the plane from DC, put on a new white shirt, enter the game as a sub, and score minutes after joining his new team from Los Angeles! All without even one training session. Houston absolutely pounded LA for about 75 of the 90 minutes but did not have enough finesse to get the job done. Eddie Robinson, Ricardo Clark, Stuart Holden and Brad Davis all played great for the Dynamo Hum. However, Superstar DDR did not play due to a red card suspension from the previous match. Bummer dudes. Hooray Santino. Boo Creepy Foot Doctor. Hooray Beer. Match report from the Houston Chronicle.
Colorado 1-4 Salt Lake - Wow! Has RSL arrived? Did they turn a corner? Two wins in a row and this one on the road. Match report from the Denver Post.
New England 0-0 Kansas City - Ummmmmmmmmmm. Nada. KC Star match report.

Wow, DC United earns a tie with Real Madrid !
Granted, it's pre-season for Madrid, nonetheless, it's not like the Madrid players are out-of-form or anything...many of them just played in Germany, and Madrid only broke for the summer in May, I believe.

Good result for DC, and the USA.

Keep up the fine work, Wolfie !
