From the Denver Post: Colorado right wing Terry Cooke was dressed Thursday night in a Devo T-shirt! YES!!

MLS games last night:
Colorado 3-3 Chivas - This was a good, fun, end to end game. Terry Cooke showed again whey he is MLS First 11 material and should absolutely be at the All Star game (I predict there will be an injury and he will be IN!). He had two amazing crosses for goals. The second being just moments from the end (approx 92nd min) where he pulled the old Sombrero move, then flew down the line to crank a cross to the far post for Jacob Peterson to bump home. Chivas struck first after tons of those little passes they love. Paco Palencia grabbed a rebounded shot and scored from about 10 yards out. Colorado struck back nearly instantly with our main man Dedi Ben Dayan hammering home a shot after Jovan Kirovski calmly took all the Chivas defenders out of position and then fed him the ball. Chivas defender Tim Reagan got beat so bad on that one and again many other times that Bob Bradley actually pulled him. Colo coach Clavijo should have done the same with his right back Dan Gargan, cuz that guy had an awful game. Clint Mathis (remember him? I barely do) also got a great Cooke cross that Dedi flicked on for Cleetus to one time for a 2-1 lead. Colo then proceeded to played like dummies after Petke got his 2nd yellow card, and let one of the Du Nord picks for Rookie Of The Year, Jonathan Bornstein, score 2 excellent goals giving the Goats the lead back right at the 90th minute. But in with poor defensive posture, Chivas took the lead only to give up a goal within mere moments. And they did it in the waning moments too. Not Good. Make sure you go to the MLS video page and watch the highlights!
-Denver Post match report by Brian Forbes
-Bornstein who has been starting all year at left back actually started up top to replace the suspended Ante Razov. He had that early shot which Joe Cannon saved and Palencia scored on, not to mention another shot Cannon made a good foot save on, and yet another that went off the crossbar. This kid is on fire, I mean, en fuego.

In another Colorado note, they have to be by far the most international team in MLS history. Here is where their players are from:
Isreal, England, Argentina (2), Spain, Brazil, Haiti, Peru and Belarus.
-Plus they have all those hair farmers (They look like a late 70's team out there.): Beckerman, Dedi, Denton, Niko, Karanka, Kirovski, Thiago Martins, Jacob Peterson, Chris Wingert. All with the long flowing locks. Now if only Cannon and Petke would get the bad blond dye job going again, and Mathis reclaimed the mohawk...... then we would really have a show.

Loved the Jose +10 behind the scenes. Found this while looking at it. Pretty funny.

There are two types of soccer fans in the US, those who watch ESPN during the World Cup, and those who watch Univision during the World Cup.
It has nothing to do with language or accent.
Tim Regan does get burned at times. I wonder why he is played at central defender. His natural position is defensive midfielder. And you can see that he still plays that way. He can be pesky, make the good and tough tackle. But a stopper-type central defender, well, he can do that only part of the time. I really think he is a pretty good player. I would love to see him at dmid for a game.
Valencia have got to stop making these big name pick-ups. It's not like they're in Serie A and have a chance to win or something.
thanks mr bruce!
Nick
For a guy who demonstrates anger at ESPN announcers, and other media for not getting things right, you sure do misspell a lot of names.
The correct spelling of "Tim Reagan" is R-e-g-a-n.
The correct spelling of "Isreal" is I-s-r-a-e-l.
The correct spelling of "Jonathan Bronstein" is B-o-r-n-s-t-e-i-n.
By the way, it's one thing to poke fun at a player's choice in hairstyle, since a mohawk, a shaved head, or a mullet are all choices.
But to make fun of Preston Burpo's nose that he was born with rather than 'chosen'---that's just juvenile, and shows a lack of class on your part.
good points, good points
several tips from by mrs. brupo, i mean anonymous
i am gonna work em into a list of ways to improve this weblong
1. lose anger
2. learn to spell better, especially on those pesky proper nouns, maybe even try to proof read or spell check more often
3. never ever mention preston burpo's god given massively freakish giant beak of a nose again
no, really, thanks
sometimes us big time soccer writers need somebody to step up and pour a bucket of water over our heads to clear out those cobwebs and help us to re-focus on the important stuff
so Jonthan borenstein, if i 'm not mistaken, has now started as a defender, midfielder and striker for Chivas. That's quite awesome.
Hven't you ever heard of spellcheck you lazy old goat?
Was Burpo really born with the honker he has today? I could swear he was out for a season after a serious injury he had to his face and that played a role in the horn we see today.
for some reason my spellcheck doesnt work on israel
it must be racist or whatever it is they call it when you don't like jews
