In other huge news, the verdicts and punishment have been handed down to Italian Serie A clubs Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio for match fixing. But the punishment was not as great as some had thought it would be. For instance Milan is not even being relegated (I wonder how much their owner Berlusconi had to do with that?!?!?!), and Juve will not be relegated 2 divisions to Serie C. Juve, Fiorentina and Lazio will all play one division lower this next season in Serie B. Juve will be stripped of their last 2 scudetto's and not be involved in this years Champions League, plus they will start the Serie B season with a 30 point deficit. Fiorentina will also lose out on their shot at the Champions League this season, and have to start Serie B with a 12 point deduction. Lazio misses their UEFA Cup spot, and will have a 7 point hole to start the Serie B season. Milan got off lightest by not getting relegated at all, but still will lose 44 points from last years total and miss the Champions League, plus they will be docked 15 points to start this season in the top division Serie A.
-You can surely expect all 4 of these teams to challenge these rulings in the courts which could lead to an even bigger mess and delay to the start of the new season. Typical actions for criminals.

Donadoni played for the Metrostars in 1996-7. The league wasn't around in 1994.
