French & Liverpudlian forward Djibril Cisse is out of the World Cup with a broken right leg. He suffered the injury during a training session match v China on Wednesday. Two years ago he missed a large part of the season after breaking his left leg.

On a very sad note, Mexican goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez has lost his father very unexpectedly to a heart attack. RIP Senor Sanchez! Oswaldo has returned to Guadalajara. There is no word on if or when he will return to his team in Germany.
