It Leaked Out Of My Eye Like News

-The Jerusalem Post, yes, from Israel, has a feature story on my guy, Dedi Ben-Dayan! Go Dedi Go!
-During a panel discussion with other sports league commissioners on young players, MLS Head Honcho Don Garber made this statement: There's a young player now that's 16 years old that's in our training program in Bradenton that's being offered more money than Freddy Adu is being paid by Nike to sign with them.
I wonder who this is. Should be interesting to find out. Others have speculated that it is David Arvizu that Garber is talking about. (We had the link on him the other day executing a spectacular bicycle kick. You will have to search for that one.)
-Laguilla score last night, from the second semifinal first leg: Pachuca 0-0 Toluca, leaving it still even and everything up for grabs on Sunday.
And those second leg matches are this weekend
Sat

Sun

-Michael Lewis scores an interview with former Metrostar flop Lothar Mattheus for MLSnet.
-Olympic soccer recently has been comprised of national U-23 teams, with 3 exemptions given per team for players over that age. But (thankfully) FIFA has decided this is stupid and will now go with U-23 only! Excellent.

Some players just have that way about them where they seem to waltz down the field with the ball attached to their foot. These are very rare players that only come along seemingly once in a generation.

Best was such a player.
