It Leaked Out Of My Eye Like News

-The Jerusalem Post, yes, from Israel, has a feature story on my guy, Dedi Ben-Dayan! Go Dedi Go!
-During a panel discussion with other sports league commissioners on young players, MLS Head Honcho Don Garber made this statement: There's a young player now that's 16 years old that's in our training program in Bradenton that's being offered more money than Freddy Adu is being paid by Nike to sign with them.
I wonder who this is. Should be interesting to find out. Others have speculated that it is David Arvizu that Garber is talking about. (We had the link on him the other day executing a spectacular bicycle kick. You will have to search for that one.)
-Laguilla score last night, from the second semifinal first leg: Pachuca 0-0 Toluca, leaving it still even and everything up for grabs on Sunday.
And those second leg matches are this weekend
Monterrey v UANL Tigres
Toluca v Pachuca
-A video tribute to George Best. RIP my man. Thanks to Jimmy B for the hot tip on this one.
-NCAA national championship semis & finals are today and Sunday. Soccer America has a small preview of the 4 teams. Here are the matches:

3PM Central - ESPN2
New Mexico vs Clemson
10PM Central - ESPN2
1PM Central - ESPN2
-3 Big Games In Europe This Weekend:

-USA Coach Arena with more thoughts on todays World Cup draw via USA Today.
-Sports Illustrated brings us the story of Gimnasia La Plata who are one win away from the Argentinian League title. They have not won a title in 118 years!!! Can they do it?
-Michael Lewis scores an interview with former Metrostar flop Lothar Mattheus for MLSnet.
-Olympic soccer recently has been comprised of national U-23 teams, with 3 exemptions given per team for players over that age. But (thankfully) FIFA has decided this is stupid and will now go with U-23 only! Excellent.
-Soccernet has a report on Eddie Johnson's injury recovery process.
-Dave Sarachan signed a new contract yesterday to continue on as coach of the Chicago Fire.
-I want to state for the record that I think Claudio Reyna is the best soccer player ever from the USA.
-Wanderlei Luxemburgo makes his first statement since being fired by Real Madrid via Eurosport.
-A hearty hola to all our foreign visitors over the past 24 hours from:
Mont-Royal, Canada
Rotterdam, Netherlands
Adana, Turkey
Mardid, Spain
Smithfield, Australia
Vienna, Austria
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Antrim, Northern Ireland

Some players just have that way about them where they seem to waltz down the field with the ball attached to their foot. These are very rare players that only come along seemingly once in a generation.

Best was such a player.
