USA 1 - Hondu 0

Not really much of a match. It was all fairly slow paced, until we saw some action late in the first half that was reasonably good. Pat Noonan, Brian Ching, Eddie Johnson, Clint Mathis, and Steve Ralston all had chances to score and didn't. Then in the 45th minute, Cleetus unloaded one of his very special (sadly, seldom seen lately) bombs from 35 yards out that beat the keeper but struck the crossbar, only to have Eddie Johnson screaming in on net to scoop up the rebound and jam it home for the winner. Kevin Hartman played goal in the second half and stopped Honduras' only two chances with good saves. Also good games from Pablo Mastroeni, Clint Dempsey, Chad Marshall, and Nat Borchers. Johnson now has 7 goals in his 6 games for the USA! Lets hear a big cheer for the Grown-Ass-Man!
