Some Soccer News for Wed Oct 19, 2011

STORY OF THE DAY

Steven Goff of the Washington Post reports that Charlie Davis of DC United has filed a $20 Million lawsuit against the night club and event sponsor who served alcohol to the driver of the car he was a passenger in 2 years ago that resulted in a horrific car accident that killed one passenger and severely injured Davies.
-The night club in DC where the party was held is called the Shadow Room and the event sponsor was Red Bull.

Finals

Git yer Stars tickets!

The Stars will host an event to show off the new NASL championship trophy at Brit's Pub Friday night in downtown Minneapolis starting at 8pm.

The Dark Clouds pre-game tailgate will feature beer (must be 21) provided by the popular local brewer Surly, and tacos by the awesome Rusty Taco of St Paul!

The 2012 Expansion Draft will take place on Wed Nov 23. This will be Montreal's first shot at stocking their new roster with current MLS players. They will get 10 picks from the other 18 teams. Those other teams cannot lose more than 1 player, but can only protect 11 on their current roster. Players signed to Generation Adidas or academy contracts cannot be chosen by Montreal.
