Over 3500 players have signed up for this years 2 editions of Univision Republica Deportiva's Sueno MLS. This is a reality show where player try to win a spot on Chivas USA and FC Dallas (who are new to the show this season). I really thought of this show as a total joke last year, but the kid who won the contest, Lorge Flores, ended up getting a contract with Chivas USA, made his debut, and is now playing regularly for the USA U20 team. His story is quite amazing to me. The show debuts Feb 15 and will run until March 30.

As of right now it looks like Mexico will be missing at least one key player and possibly others due to injury - Nery Castillo is out with a separated shoulder, while Andres Guardado & Ricardo Osorio are said to have muscle injuries. I wouldn't hold my breath on those 2 missing out. It's important enough for them. It also looks like Jared Borgetti's days with the national team are over. On the other side of the fence, after a blowout last summer Pavel Pardo appears to have settled his differences with the coach and is back in. The only guy I will really miss is Oswaldo Sanchez, cuz we really had that moron's number - what a headcase.

Americans In Europe

The word from Germany on Twin Cities star player Kedio Pour - he is on trial at Borussia Dortmund: "Keido played with Borussia's U16 team on Saturday and bossed the match from the defensive midfield position - he's a natural forward. He chipped in with an assist and hit the crossbar in a 4-0 win for Borussia. Keido will be training with Dortmund's U17 squad last night (as the older clubs are all working on fitness). Most importantly, based upon his performance Saturday, Keido's been called into the Professional "B" Team (reserve team) for a friendly against the German U21 National Team on Tuesday (today). Keido is then scheduled to play with the U19's in another friendly on Wednesday." Sounds to me like he is getting one hell of a trial look.

CONCACAF
